G. Before You Hit the Road-the Final Check!

Acquiring the materials, components, and tools necessary to build your trailer may turn out to be a major task. But once you’ve got them, the constructing requires skill as a welder and a fabricator, as well as a good aptitude for mechanical things. Experience with spray painting and electrical work can also come in handy. The patience to plan your work carefully, buy the parts at the right place for the right price and coordinate all your building activities is an integral part of the process. If you are of the school that says welding skill alone will get you a trailer, you better read this chapter (and re-read the previous five). Welding may be a large portion of the work and it may indeed be one of the more important ones, but it is far from the only skill required.
