CHAPTER 5. ACCESSORIES

Accessories are primarily available to enhance your trailer’s utility. Certain accessories make it considerably easier to just plain use your trailer. Others are safety oriented. Most trailer types—boat, horse, utility—have their own unique list of accessories. For instance, horse trailers offer saddle racks, tack hangers, feeder bins, double or single doors and windows. Boat trailers may offer extra rollers, tie downs or a heavy duty winch. Car haulers will offer tool boxes, longer ramps, tie downs and wheel-stops. Here we will discuss some items which are popular on a wide range of trailers and a few fabricated items which might have application to flatbeds, utility or maybe even boat trailers.
